Opening up a new notebook always encompasses the best aspects of possibility. There's no telling, upon that first crack of the cover, what thoughts will spring forth on the upcoming pages; what ideas will one day be contained between lines. Like every new relationship and experience, the uncertainty leads to excitement and happy anticipation.
Life is a difficult landscape to navigate, and any day can twist unexpectedly without any indications to warn you. This is a fact that has never sat well with me, yet one everyone has to come to terms with. I like to have an idea of where I'm going. I like to mentally prepare for events. It's unrealistic to think life would ever work this way. In fact, if life did unfold as such, I'm sure I would be lamenting that nothing felt spontaneous or raw. The point is, you have to figure out how to deal with the evolution of your life; you have to be able to keep on moving, keep on existing, even when it feels like staying in bed is the one and only option for survival.
So, welcome to the process. Here is where I shall chronicle the everyday adventures of life as it happens. Expect several rants, lots of glimpses into an unorganized mind, and the camaraderie of knowing that life is ridiculous for us all, no matter where or how you live it.
